A must-visit! The cozy, nautical ambiance sets a perfect seaside vibe, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is great--fresh seafood, including a standout lobster roll and creamy clam chowder. We'll definitely stop by next time we visit Ptown. Note: we visited back in 2023 but I am just now leaving a review.

The Lobster Pot is one of my favorite places to grab lunch or dinner when in P-Town! If there is a wait, the line moves fairly quick and the service is always top notch every time I've visited. Their seafood is SUPER fresh and everything is always fried perfectly. I love getting their fried clam bellies, scallops, clam chowder, clams casino, lobster rolls, & raw oysters! I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here nor have I ever not liked a dish I've ordered. Seriously, go check the Lobster Pot out, you won't regret it! Highly recommend.

The Lobster Pot is a P-town institution! We visited twice during our weeklong stay and loved both meals. We got the lobster egg rolls, lobster bisque, seafood Cobb salad, cold lobster roll and steamed lobster meal. Love the atmosphere and food here. We got excellent service both times (once at a table and once at the bar). We absolutely love this restaurant!

What an awesome place! It's old school New England with a market counter up front and the restaurant in the back. You walk in, the front counter takes your name and asks you to walk midway back, and you're greeted by name and brought to a table (if available immediately). Such a nice touch! Service was attentive, being careful to place my party so we all have great views and to make excellent recommendations. The food and drink menus have a lot of peach incorporated here and there. The raw bar is fantastic. For non-raw items, my friend enjoyed the clam chowder and I enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller, and we loved the dessert menu. The restaurant also looks iconic and cool in the evening.

Lobsters galore! We made the drive out to Provincetown and had to try the Lobster Pot! We came on a Saturday evening and there was no wait at all. We were sat downstairs and it was pretty cozy. There were sooo many lobster options it was hard to choose which one to try. Luckily we had a pretty good sized group and ordered almost bunch. The clam chowder and lobster bisque were to die for! They come in a little mug so beware if you're sharing! The complimentary bread was also delicious. We preferred the special one over the regular roll. I think it was some kind of cornbread texture but carrot/pumpkin taste? My favorite lobster preparation was pan roasted over baked stuffed. It seemed like a lot of extra things in the baked stuffed and not as much lobster meat. The lobster mac n cheese was also very yummy and a pretty big serving as well. What do you do in Boston besides eating seafood and lobster?? Would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

I was fully expecting a long line, especially on Labor Day weekend, but no, Jamie W and I just walked right in and found ourselves in the casual dining area behind the upstairs bar. Easy peasy. It has the Anthony Bourdain seal of approval because not only did he love the food but he worked as a dishwasher early in his culinary myth of a career. Naturally we needed to try it. Their menu goes beyond lobster, but why else would I be here, right? Meantime, a bread basket arrived with soft rolls and their signature pumpkin bread (photo: https://yelp.to/1gJylnJ2JG). The latter was like having dessert upfront...unless I was supposed to wait. Anyway, we both ordered $9 'mugs' of soup. Jamie went for the Lobster Bisque which was velvety smooth with a touch of spice (photo: https://yelp.to/sQMQxyX2hV). Of course I ordered Tim's Clam Chowder because somebody had to given all the local accolades that were listed. It was chunky, creamy, and all the right adjectives (photo: https://yelp.to/ps3HVckCuf). Then came the main event. Mine was the $38 Hot Lobster Roll which slightly underwhelmed me with the quantity and temperature of the lobster (photo: https://yelp.to/zFaqNihCit). The toasted topside roll was right as was the melted butter. The scoop of potato salad tasted a bit over refrigerated. Jamie showed genuine willpower and ordered the $22 Cobb Salad which was just what you would expect with chopped romaine, red peppers, beets, avocado, a sliced hard-boiled egg, and strips of crispy bacon (photo: https://yelp.to/7gfYykiXIt). Don't worry, I let him have a bite of my lobster roll. Was it legendary? Not quite but it was enough. FOOD - 4 stars...it will satisfy your need for a fresh lobster roll AMBIANCE - 4 stars...spacious and airy enough SERVICE - 4 stars...very efficient and certainly cordial enough TOTAL - 4 stars...a taste of Bourdain nostalgia RELATED - Exploring Provincetown? Wellfleet oysters served here were the best we had our entire Cape Cod/Boston trip! Super super clean taste. Honestly the rest of the food wasn't all that memorable, but we loved these oysters. Hence the 4/5 rating. It's a little pricey though, I wonder if we could've found just as good of oysters outside of the more touristy areas like Ptown (maybe in Wellfleet itself?).

Popular restaurant for tourists visiting PTown. It's known for lobster rolls, and anything with lobster. But I've since learned lobster in Massachusetts pale to those of Maine, and my frequent tries of lobster in Massachusetts made me realize that I should pass on them, generally speaking. Sorry Massachusetts people. However, this place does have Portuguese offerings, as PTown has a significant Portuguese influence (something I learned just by visiting). And I was much more blown away by the Portuguese fish dish on the menu than I was by the lobster rolls, and would recommend this dish to anyone! It has a Portuguese chorizo crust on it too that made it quite a very flavorful dish. If you MUST have lobster here, then get the lobster ravioli. I have not tried any other lobster offering besides this and the roll. And one can also swig down the local brand of cider (Stormalong) to go with it. Ambience is that of an enclosed, carpeted fish shack - quite old school.

Visiting the birthplace of #AnthonyBourdain aka The LobsterPot in #Provincetown Anthony used to wash dishes here during the summers on #CapeCod and ended up working his way to be one of the greatest chefs and foodie figures of our lifetime Menu Highlights: -Creamy New England Clam Chowder (voted best in #ptown for years!) -Cold lobster salad roll (not the best lobster roll I had on the cape, but very well prepared & I loved the addition of the crunchy lettuce) -1/2 split pan seared lobster with wine sauce (we could have drank the sauce with a spoon) -Spicy #bloodymary and #sangria were classically prepared & quenched our thirst during the hot #NewEngland summer day Pro tip: sit on the back patio for gorgeous views of the #provincetownmassachussets harbor and ferry boats

Man, did we luck out! Typically anytime I'd ever tried to go to the Lobster Pot there's been a hefty wait time but we really took a chance and got in almost immediately on a Friday (early evening). We had such a nice server named Chad. He was friendly, fun and made sure we were taken care of. Most of use opted for the hot lobster roll and it was probably one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. Growing up in New England, I have had my fair share but this one really was something delectable and was FILLED with the best parts of the lobster. It was served with a delicious potato salad. Some other favorites were the lobster grilled cheese and the oysters. Highly recommend giving this place a try. They also ship their famous clam chowder!
